You may also make appointments online through the Patient Access app. Please contact the surgery to register for this facility.
Routine Consultation
We can offer consultations:
- In person
- By telephone
Please let our team know when booking the appointment which you would prefer.
Urgent Appointment
If you have an urgent medical problem that will not wait for the next routine appointment, please call us on 01534 730541.
If you are calling for an appointment for a matter you believe to be urgent and there are no routine appointments available that day, please inform the Receptionist of the nature of your problem in order that you can be placed on our Triage List. A colleague will call you back to take further details and endeavour to offer you an appointment with either the Duty Doctor or our Prescribing Nurse the same day.
We endeavour to provide a same-day appointment for any patient in urgent need. We cannot, however, guarantee that this will be with a chosen doctor.
Cancelling an appointment
If you're unable to attend your appointment, please let us know by the close of play the day before your appointment so that the appointment can be offered to someone else.
You can let us know by calling us on 01534 730541.
Home visits
Our home visiting service is intended for housebound patients or for those who are too unwell to attend the surgery.
A home visit can be arranged by calling us on 01534 730541. Where possible, please advise us before 10:00 am if you believe a visit is required on the same day. If your doctor is already fully booked, a visit will be made by our Duty Doctor or Paramedic Practitioner.
Routine home visits to review ongoing illness or long-term medication should be booked with your doctor in advance.
Chaperoning
For intimate examinations or procedures, the health professionals may use a chaperone. If you would like to be accompanied by a chaperone, please tell the doctor and a fully trained member of staff will be present for the procedure.
Duty Doctor System
As ill health cannot be predicted or timetabled, our Duty Doctor and Paramedic Practioner are on call for your urgent medical needs at all times during the surgery’s opening hours.
When the Practice is closed this service is provided by Jersey Doctors On Call.
During our usual opening hours this service is initially provided by our Duty Doctor and Paramedic Practioner.
If you believe your illness to be life-threatening please call 999 for immediate medical assistance.
Out of hours system
The Jersey Doctors On Call Service (JDOC) provides you with emergency medical cover when the Practice is closed. It is not designed to cover routine healthcare needs that can wait until the Practice reopens. Please only use this service if your problem is urgent.
The service provides emergency out-of-hours medical care:
- Overnight from 6 pm to 8 am daily
- On weekends from Saturday 12pm – Monday 8am
- On public holidays.
Indigo Medical covers all other times directly.
If you feel you need this service, please phone 01534 445445 and a receptionist will take your details and put you in touch with the doctor on-call. This number is only available when the Practice is closed.
Please assist in dealing with your call appropriately by answering the receptionist's questions as far as possible. This enables your call to be prioritised. You can obtain telephone advice, make an appointment at the JDOC evening clinic, or request a home visit if necessary.
A fee is charged if you see a doctor. The JDOC pricing structure is different to that of Indigo Medical. For up-to-date charges please visit: Out of Hours GP service Jersey Doctors on Call (gov.je)
Your own GP will be advised of your out-of-hours visit on the next working day.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency please call 999.
